With the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 auction coming up on May 31–June 1 in Mumbai, Aslam Inamdar shows strong determination.
As the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 auction nears, set for May 31 to June 1 in Mumbai, Aslam Inamdar is a clear example of determination. The skilled all-rounder, who has been retained by Puneri Paltan, is preparing for a strong comeback after a tough time in Season 11. He played only seven matches before a knee injury ended his season early. “Injuries are common for Kabaddi players — it’s part of the sport,” Aslam said. “But I believe a player is truly seen for who he is by how he recovers, trains, and comes back stronger.”
Aslam Inamdar, 25, had to take a break from kabaddi after suffering a meniscus tear in his knee, which needed surgery. Determined to return quickly, he focused on recovery. “It’s been six months now, and I’ve recovered well. I’m fully ready for Season 12,” he said with confidence.

Inamdar’s absence was a big blow to his team, Puneri Paltan, during Season 11. The team, which he had led to the championship in Season 10, could only finish in 8th place without him. “I played the first seven matches, and we were at the top of the table. But after I got injured, I think our confidence dropped, and that affected how we played,” he explained.
What makes Aslam special is his strong bond with the Puneri Paltan team. He has been with the team since Season 7, starting from their youth academy, Yuva Paltan, and growing into the role of team captain. Over his PKL career, he has scored 545 points in 70 matches, including 38 points in the seven games he played in Season 11 before the injury.
He also shared how supportive the team has been during his recovery. “I’ve always trusted Puneri Paltan. It feels unbelievable. The team owner talks to me about everything. After my injury, he treated me like family. He still says I’m his captain and always will be,” Aslam said emotionally.
With the PKL Season 12 auction coming up on May 31 and June 1 in Mumbai, Aslam is ready for the challenge. He expects this year’s auction to be highly competitive. “Many big players are in the auction pool. Some might even be picked for over ₹2 crores. It’s going to be more competitive than ever,” he noted.
Now fully fit and motivated, Aslam Inamdar is looking forward to making a strong comeback and helping his team climb back to the top.
