Endrik joined Real Madrid with high hopes, but things haven’t gone as planned. The young Brazilian hasn’t lived up to the team’s expectations yet. In the recent match against Getafe, he missed a couple of easy chances to score, leaving coach Carlo Ancelotti disappointed with his performance.
Endrik was included in the starting lineup for Real’s first league game. Even though he had good opportunities, he couldn’t take advantage of them. In the 32nd minute, he passed the ball to Vinicius outside the box, received it back, and took a shot. The Getafe goalkeeper, David Soria, blocked it, but the ball almost crossed the line before a defender cleared it just in time.
His second chance was even easier. In the 55th minute, Endrik found himself one-on-one with the keeper. He tried to chip the ball over Soria, but it went straight into the goalkeeper’s hands.
Talking about Endrik’s performance, Ancelotti said, “He had two chances. He did well with the first one, and the second was probably offside, but he still couldn’t score.”
“He’s young and still learning,” Ancelotti added. “But he needs to focus on scoring goals and avoid unnecessary or silly actions on the field. Football isn’t the place for drama.”
