The twelfth season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is just a few weeks away, and fans can expect plenty of excitement and surprises. All teams have built strong squads and are preparing for the opening week of matches. One team grabbing attention is the Patna Pirates — the most successful side in PKL history with three titles. They’ve made a bold move by releasing their top raider from last season, Devank Dalal. However, they remain focused on winning their fourth championship.
They have been very steady and have reached beyond the group stage in eight out of eleven seasons. However, it’s still unclear if they can win the whole tournament. With that in mind, let’s check out the expected starting seven players for Patna Pirates in PKL 12.
Patna Pirates’ Tried and Tested Raiding Unit Ready to Dominate PKL 12

Patna Pirates have kept their main raiders and added some important new players. Surprisingly, they decided to let go of their top scorer from last season, Devank Dalal.
To fill that gap, they signed the experienced Maninder Singh, who is known as one of the best raiders in the league.
Ayan Lohchab remains with the team. Last season, he formed a strong partnership with Devank and performed very well.
Sudhakar M is also staying with the Pirates. He knows the team well, and his teamwork with Ayan will help the team a lot.
Under coach Anup Kumar, the Pirates will enter the new PKL season with a very strong defense. This solid backline will be crucial if they want to win the tournament.
Ankit Jaglan will continue to lead the defense. He was the team’s top defender last season, scoring 79 tackle points.
Deepak Singh is also staying and is expected to be a key defender. He played well in the right cover position last season, scoring 64 tackle points.
New players Sanket Sawant and Sombir Gulia have joined the team to strengthen the defense further. Gulia is expected to start in the upcoming matches.
