Test Cricket Wins at Adelaide

India won their first Test match in Adelaide in 2003, thanks to Rahul Dravid and Ajit Agarkar’s amazing comeback efforts.

After Australia scored 556 runs in the first innings, Dravid’s brilliant double century helped India score 523 runs. In Australia’s second innings, Agarkar took six wickets, limiting them to 196 runs.

India needed 230 runs to win and, despite some challenges, successfully chased the target. Dravid stayed not out on 72 and was named Man of the Match.

2. 6 December 2008

Test Cricket Wins at Adelaide

India’s second Test win in Adelaide came 15 years after their first. It happened in the first match of the 2018/19 series.

Cheteshwar Pujara led the batting with scores of 123 and 71. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and R Ashwin shone in the bowling, taking 17 wickets together.

India won the match on the final day by just 31 runs.
