La Liga authorities announced the names of the best players of the season in various categories on Friday.
Despite falling behind early in the season, Barcelona regained the La Liga title with a great finish. They also won the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, defeating Real Madrid. However, they were eliminated in the semi-finals of the Champions League by Inter Milan.
In total, Rafinha scored 34 goals in 57 matches for Barca this season. He also contributed to 25 goals for his teammates.
Rafinha joined Barcelona from Leeds United in 2022. Despite being in poor form in the first two seasons, he showed himself to be at his best in the 2024-25 season under coach Hansi Flick. The Spanish club recently extended the contract with the 28-year-old forward until 2028.
On the other hand, Lamine Yamal was the best in the U-23 category. The Spanish forward has played in 55 matches in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 25 assists. He was also excellent in the semi-finals of the last Nations League. Many consider him worthy of the Ballon d’Or at the age of 17.
