After this horrific incident in Bengaluru, recently Siddaramaiah met the media and said- “The Police Inspector, Station House Master, Station House Officer, ACP, Central Division DCP, Cricket Stadium Incharge, Additional Commissioner of Police, Police Commissioner of Cubbon Park Police Station have been suspended with immediate effect.” It is worth noting that after winning against Punjab Kings by 6 runs in the final of IPL 2025, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team had a felicitation ceremony at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on June 4, in which thousands of people had gathered. At the same time, outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, fans were seen eager to enter the stadium by any means to see the players of their favorite team.

In the same sequence, a stampede broke out outside the stadium, and 11 people lost their lives. Also, more than 50 people were seriously injured. According to media reports, more than 2.5 lakh people had gathered outside the stadium, but there were not enough police and security personnel to control them.

On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore has expressed grief over this stampede in Bangalore, and has posted a post from its official X account. In this post, he told that the franchise will provide financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the 11 people who lost their lives in this stampede. Also, a fund named RCB Care is being created for the injured people.
