Top Teams With The Highest Powerplay Scores In T20 Matches are fast and high-scoring, so players usually try to score quickly from the start. The best chance to score more runs is during the powerplay.
In T20 cricket, the powerplay is a set of overs with more fielding restrictions, making it easier for the batting team to score quickly. The powerplay lasts for the first six overs of each inning. During this time, only two fielders can be outside the 30-yard circle. The other nine players, including the bowler and wicketkeeper, must stay within the circle. If more than two fielders are outside the circle, the umpire calls a no-ball, giving the batting side a free hit. With this in mind, let’s look at the highest team scores during the powerplay in T20s.
