9. 2007 T20 World Cup: India

8. 2009 T20 World Cup: Pakistan
In 2009, Pakistan overcame their past loss to India and won the T20 title for the first time. They defeated Sri Lanka by eight wickets in an easy chase in the final. Tillakaratne Dilshan scored the most runs in the tournament with 317, while Umar Gul took the most wickets with 13.
7. 2010 T20 World Cup: England

West Indies won the 2016 T20 World Cup by beating England in a close last-over finish, claiming their second title. Carlos Brathwaite hit four sixes in a row in the final over against Ben Stokes, making history for West Indies. Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal scored the most runs (295), and Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi took the most wickets (12) in the tournament.
3. 2021 T20 World Cup: Australia
Australia won their first T20 World Cup title by beating New Zealand by eight wickets in the final in the UAE. Mitchell Marsh scored 77 runs off 50 balls to help Australia chase down 173 with seven balls left. Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, was the top run-scorer with 303 runs, and Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga took the most wickets, with 16 in eight matches.

“England’s cricket team beat Pakistan by five wickets to win their second T20 World Cup trophy, becoming the second team to achieve this. 1. 2024 T20 World Cup: India
India won a thrilling final against South Africa in Barbados to claim their second T20 World Cup, becoming only the third team to do so. After India’s top order struggled, Virat Kohli scored 76, helping them reach 176/7. Quinton de Kock and a fifty from Heinrich Klaasen made it tough for India, with South Africa needing just 30 runs off 30 balls to win their first T20 World Cup. However, strong bowling by Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Arshdeep Singh turned the game around. India won by seven runs. Rohit Sharma was India’s top scorer, and Arshdeep took the most wickets.
